Conran: All the fun of the press show…

The very exciting Conran/M&S project is one step nearer to launch!

In case you missed it, Conran and Company are working with the development teams at M&S to design their entire ‘Contemporary’ homewares offer from Autumn onwards.

The press lunch – a very intimate affair with just 20 journalists and editors from the top design and interiors magazines – took place last week and garnered a great response.

We showed our initial product range, a capsule collection of 70 products (launch in-store Sept 2011) which includes beautiful hand-made upholstery, statement ceramics and an eclectic mix of textiles and accessories – as well as some very useful and beautiful cabinet pieces.

The private members room at Lutyens, Terence’s restaurant on the former newspaper ghetto Fleet Street seemed a very apt location in which to hob knob with those ‘in the trade’.

Terence and M&S CEO Marc Bolland gave a heartfelt speech about how excited they both were by the project and many editors echoed this statement commenting on how apt the collaboration seemed; Britain’s most iconic retailer and designer working together in what seems now an obvious partnership.

Unfortunately we can’t show you any pictures of the actual products but watch this space. The products will be available from September this year but you’ll be able to get a sneak preview in the M&S catalogue out in July….

...we are already planning our Autumn/Winter 2012 range...Digestives a must.

Champagne at the door...
